My name is Roger Williams; I am the breeder, feeder, washer, and owner of Black Creeks Kennel.

I retired a couple of years ago and thought raising labs would be the perfect  retirement supplemental income. I have had a lab myself for most of my life and I know there is not a better breed of dog.  After all, Ole Yeller was a lab.. or it seems he was.. he should have been if he wasn't!

 

I began a couple of years ago by buying a male and female about the same age (7 weeks.) These dogs have a super pedigree of hunting, field trial, and hunting trial ancestors.  I kept them until they were one year and nine months old before I allowed Mr. Sunny and Ms. Lilly Belle to start their family. During this time I constructed a 20' X 80' metal covered structure, divided into four ea. 20 X 20' pens. I covered half of each pen with concrete and left the other half covered 6" deep in yellow clay and sand. The pens are enclosed with 6' hurricane (that's what we call it here in south Mississippi) chain link fencing. I have dog houses in each pen. I am not going to sell hundreds of puppies, but my goal is that the ones I do sell will be some of the finest, Labrador Retrievers in the country.
